Gettin' Back in the Groove

I am pleased to report that this semester is going better than the last. I only have class 1 weeknight and a few on Saturday morning throughout January, so the stress level is decidedly lower! Working the 40 hr a week grind is a definite challenge, especially if you commute 50 min each way to work. But it's a job, right? I had to include these pics below because I found this vignette fairly entertaining while stuck in traffic a coupla' months back.

Yes, I have been avoiding blogging of late. I felt I needed to get a handle on a few things before I came back to the proverbial table. I wrote a blog for work about following the white rabbit down the rabbit hole, tying our New Year in to the Chinese Year of the Rabbit (which will start in a coupla' weeks) and I find that it fits my current state-of-mind. I am going down the rabbit hole, which, might I add, has been drastically altered since I last descended. I still feel a bit as though I have had the rug pulled out from under me and must figure out how to inhabit this new person that has resulted out of the last few months.

I also find that this last year's theme still holds for this so-called New Year: Impossible Things, "I try to think of six impossible things before breakfast..." For example:
  1. I thought it quite impossible that I could even conceive of the New Year, but that is flying by.
  2. I get up every morning which I always think will be impossible.
  3. My newest perfume acquisition, Angel, is UNBELIEVABLE (you never know if that is going to happen when you buy something purely based on the packaging or the perfume's reputation).
  4. Soon I will start work on my Master's project.
  5. Advanced Editing class is, so far, slightly easier than Basic Editing.
  6. I have reduced the number of books in my room (a never-ending process).
These things seemed impossible to me or near-impossible on a constant basis, so I am grateful that I am feeling muchier (you must see Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland to truly understand this concept) and that, perhaps, I am on the road to regaining my muchness.
